professor lambert and his homonculus debate the wisdom of duke ellington
this began as a homage to an online friend of mine, mr. david ingram, whom i interviewed for my art and absinthe blog. mr. ingram and his companion, igor (a zombie goldfish), host a rather engaging jazz/big band/swing podcast called lambert’s basement, which i partake of with regularity (being a rather big fan of jazz).
this piece, while not a direct portrait of the two of them, was inspired by their interaction on the show. i managed to finish it just in time for both dave’s 40-somethingth birthday and the 100th episode of the show.
