there is an error in the belief that one can invoke an absolute based on petty desires. the best that one can hope for is a purgation of them and the clarity of vision to see them as folly. absolutes are not clothed in base vanities. they come neither in guise nor unmasked. they merely arrive and are known when they arrive. the knowledge comes when a shadow circles behind you in meditation or when a brilliance passes before you in a coffee shop. it does not come bidden. it arrives when you are prepared to receive it.
